Whether you want your web browser to accept cookies or not is up to you. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to be notified when you receive a new cookie or how to disable cookies altogether. If you haven't changed your computer's settings, most likely your browser already accepts cookies. Cookies help us to improve our services and your experience, see which areas and features of our services are popular and count visits. How we collect and store your personal data:

Our computer is password protected, so from initial contact your data is secure. If you decide to book us, we ask you to complete a contract. Once you have completed the contract and send it back to us, we store it on our computer. If you do not book us, your email is archived in our inbox indefinitely until we are satisfied that we no longer need to correspond. The only information we will have is the information in the email enquiry you sent to us. This website and all its galleries are cloud storage based hosted by SmugMug which is also a GDPR compliant company. If you purchase prints or other products through the website, purchases are made through our website provider, SmugMug. SmugMug have their own privacy policy of which you can read here

Keeping your information secure:

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent information from being accidently lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it (in this case, SmugMug, where they require to fulfil orders that have been purchased through the website). Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We will also use technological and organisation measures to keep your information secure. These measures may include the following examples: a) Client gallery access is protected and controlled by a password. b) All data is stored on SmugMug secure servers. c) Payment details, if any, are encrypted using SSL through SmugMug. SmuMug has procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach concerning the stored data of photographs. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so. While we will use all reasonable efforts to secure your personal data, in using the site you acknowledge that the use of the internet is not entirely 100% secure and for this reason we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal data that is transferred from you or to you via the internet.

Right of confirmation, access, rectification and erasure:

If you have questions about how your personal data is handled, you can just drop us an email and we can hopefully answer your questions. The information we hold on you will only be that provided by yourself to enable us to complete the work you have booked us for. If you would like us to delete all your personal data, you have the right to ask us to do this, but we recommend this is done after your wedding or other photography session and once you have received your USB of images if this is the case. This deletion does not include your password protected online gallery through Smugmug as this ensures your images are safe and backed-up in case you ever have the need to request them again due to loss or other issue. Most data we collect is retained indefinitely. This is to allow us to provide a better service to you as a customer in the event that you contact us again in the future.

How will we use your data:

We will use email addresses and contact numbers only when necessary so that we can complete the work you have booked us for. We do not give your contact details to anyone else except if you request a recommendation of another supplier, for example, a videographer, etc. In addition to your online gallery we may add images to the website and or social media but with your full permission which is asked on the contract you sign before the service is provided. For weddings and events it is your responsibility to make sure your guests are happy for images to be stored and shared. We are GPDR compliant and we feel we operate within the regulations and take the storage and protection of your data whether it be details or images seriously.
